About EEE

The department, Electrical and Electronics Engineering is one of the oldest departments established in 1982 with the approval of AICTE. We have a dynamic and experienced faculty members who provide quality education to students.
The Department has well developed laboratories equipped with latest equipments. We have been organizing many technical symposiums, Workshops, Guest Lectures, Personality and Skill Development Programmes to encourage the students hone their skills and talents. Our students participated and won many prizes in State and National level technical and non-technical symposiums, Project Competitions.
During the study period, Students are also encouraged to actively participate in Entrepreneurship and Start up activities. The EEE branch has boundless career openings in terms of jobs, self-employment and higher studies.
After completing the diploma in electrical engineering, there are job roles such as Electrical Design Engineer , Electrical Draftsman, Plant Maintenance Supervisor, Junior Engineer , Technical Engineer or Electronics Engineer. In the department , we have a dedicated placement in charge officer and we offer 100% placement support to all students. Every year, Aptitude and soft skills training are given to students to improve their personality and make them industry ready.

STATE LEVEL PROJECT EXHIBITION CUM COMPETITION

Department of EEE encourages students to do mini projects during their second year so that they are equipped to undertake creative projects in their final year . Every year students participate inSTATE LEVEL PROJECT EXHIBITION CUM COMPETITIONand exhibit their technical knowledge and skill to the visitors and the jury.

Fault Identification Of Remote Over Head Line Using IoT
Ravikumar G and Yuvaneshwarenreceived a cash award Rs 2000 cash as second prize for their
excellent contribution in terms of an innovative application useful to the society.

Their project is Fault Identification Of Remote Over Head Line Using IoT . Over Head line faults are generally caused by mechanical failure, accidents, excessive internal and external stresses etc.Detection and location of such faults is important but it is difficult to do so using traditional methods. Application of the technology of IoTfor such purpose , accurately indicates and locates the exact spot where fault occurs. This ensures a shorter response time for technical crew to rectify these faults and thus help save transformers from damage and disasters. This project uses an IOT system which monitors continuously, detects faults automatically, analyses and classifies these faults and then, calculates the fault distance from the control room .Finally the fault information is transmitted to the control room. The Main Controller is programmed as per the requirement and the IoT block is connected with E.B Control. This block monitors the input and output supply parameters from substation every day hour by hour and records in the website. The E.B control is merged with area transformer for automatic Turn Off or Turn ON .If fault occur in OH line, IOT technology and Google Mapshows the exact location and alarm or emergengy siren is raisedas a caution to nearby people to avoid human loss.
