A place to learn, play and experiment… What better place for learning could I have asked for !!! This gave me an excellent opportunity to take up my career in world renowned research institution – “the CSIR- SERC”. I am very much thankful to all our teachers, Principal and Correspondent.

Studying in VRP has been a great experience. The lovely ambience of the classroom and the cool and green environment outside was always so refreshing. The experience of the teaching faculty and the supporting staff in the laboratories reflected in their training. The infrastructure was always well equipped. I have pleasant memories of the days I spent at the college.

T K DHILIP MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP 2018

T.K. Dhilip memorial Scholarship distribution ceremony was organized on 06/08/2018 on campus. 20 Alumni, around 50 students and members of staff participated. The 1989 batch Alumni have been sponsoring Scholarship for 14 students; 7 studying in II year and 7 from III year (distributed equally to each branch) The criteria for selection was i) Performance ii) financial status iii) Non receipt of any other Scholarship. Each student received Rs.7000 as Scholarship.

The function started at 2pm. Mr. Sundaravadivel .M Principal i/c, delivered the Welcome Address and also briefed about Scholarship.

Alumni Mr. Ramkumar Manager /Wipro Technology, introduced his team. He discussed about his career since 1989. Alumni Mr. Balamurugan Assistant Manager, Godrej Consumer Products Ltd. shared his work experience.

Alumni Mr. SathishKumar , Mr. kripakaran, Mr. Srinivasan and Mr. Gopinath discussed job opportunities in various fields.

Later Scholarships were distributed to following students.

T K DHILIP MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
2015

 

The T K DHILIP MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP is instituted by Alumni of 1989 batch to render financial support for education to deserving students of V Ramakrishna Polytechnic College based on multiple criteria including academic performance and economic background.. Though a small gesture it is very thoughtful of the Alumni group to contribute for a good cause in the memory of their friend and batch mate late Mr T K DHILIP. This was inaugurated formally on 28 th Dec 2015 when around 20 Alumni attended the programme and distributed an amount of 5000 /- to each of the seven students studying in various branches. This year too scholarship distribution function was held on 3rd Aug 2016 and seven students received Rs 5000/- each. Scholarship was distributed to students by Advisor Ms.Devika Sivakumar, Acting Principal Mr.Joshua Rajmohan and Vice Principal Mr Sundaravadivel. After brief motivating talk from each of the three ,vote of thanks was proposed by one of the beneficiaries.

A REUNION TO CHERISH

The 1989 batch of VRP met at Mamalla Resort at ECR road, Mahabalipuram on 20th July 2019 Around 50 of them  participated in the reunion. Then coming together again after 30 years was exciting.

It was reunion of their families too. Everybody laughed and shared information related to the past and the present. It brought back lovely memories of the golden period of their college life.

This batch of 1989 sponsors beneficent Educational scholarship of Rs. 98,000 every year which is distributed equally to 14 students who are in need of financially help.

 They visit the college at least once every year. We are proud of your Alumni

A REPORT OF ALUMNI MEET HELD ON 13th JANUARY 2018

 A Mega Alumni Pongal Vizha was organised on College campus on 13th January 2018. Alumni who had taken their Diploma between 1984 and 2011 were invited. Despite the fact that the programme was arranged at a very short notice and on a working day it was heartening to see 157 Alumni participating in the meet. Many of those who are on overseas assignment said they regretted that they missed all the fun.


The environment was colourful and filled with excitement and fun. Some of them were visiting their Alma Mater after long years. The formal welcome address was presented by Mr M Sundaravadivel, Principalin charge and Mrs Devika Sivakumar Advisor in her Presidential address presented a report on the progressive development of the Institution over the years. Mrs Poongodi HOD of ECE department organised photo session batch wise.

Loud Music and Folk Dances created an ambience of festivity, making the event even more colourful.

Traditional games like Uriyadi and Tug of war marked the Pongal celebrations. The Alumni participated with a lot of fervour. Spirit of being a part of one big VRP family was quite obvious. Prizes were distributed and everyone enjoyed the sweet pongal, vada and coffee.

It was an experience that will be remembered and cherished for long.
